About the Alliance
Structure and Members

In June 2017, CDOT and CPW jointly hosted the Inaugural Colorado Wildlife and Transportation Summit. As a result of the Summit, the agencies developed a work plan (Alliance Action Plan) and convened a statewide Steering Committee and Technical Teams (Education and Outreach, Partnerships and Funding, and Policy), composed of CDOT, CPW, Southern Ute Tribe, federal agencies, sportsmen’s groups, engineers, and biologists.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Alliance has utilized the statewide partnership model to implement the Alliance Action Plan, share resources and knowledge, mobilize communities, secure mitigation project funding, and raise awareness around the issues of wildlife-vehicle collisions (WVCs) and wildlife connectivity across Colorado.
